Hierarch of Church of Czech lands and Slovakia handed over to Metropolitan Epifaniy the relics of St Vaclav

Bishop Isaiah (Slaninka) of Šumperk, Hierarch of the Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia, donated the relics of St. Vaclav, Prince of Bohemia, to Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and all Ukraine.

This was reported in Facebook by a priest of the OCU, Fr Ivan Sidor, Religiyna Pravda (Religious Truth) reports

"Thank God for everything! I congratulate all of you onthe day of St Michael the Archangel - the patron Saint of St. Michael's Golden-Domed monastery and the city of Kyiv," added the priest.

Bishop Isaiah of Šumperk made a gift to Metropolitan Epifaniy on November 21, a day, when the Cathedral Church of the OCU, St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, celebrated the patron's day - the day of memory of St. Michael the Archangel.

And on the eve of the feast, the Hierarch of the Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia concelebrated to the Primate of the OCU during the All-Night Vigil. The Head of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Ministry of culture Andriy Yurash called this event the beginning of the recognition of the OCU as another Local Church.
