The cars were purchased by the French organization L’Œuvre d’Orient and Ukrainians from the Spanish cities of Marbella, San Pedro and Estepona. The Head of the Church handed over them to Andriy Kikh, the head of the Hospital.
Both ambulances, owing to the aforementioned benefactors from France and Spain, as well as Croatia, were completely filled with humanitarian aid - medicines, food and hygiene products. In addition, the military were given consecrated rosaries.
“We thank everyone who worked on handing over these ambulances to the Irpin Hospital. Our “swallows” are finally at home, where they should be. We do not stop there, we continue to work,” says Fr. Vitaliy Voetsa, military medical chaplain of the UGCC, who personally transported one of the cars to Irpin.
The second car was transported from the south of Spain via Lviv to Kyiv by Bohdan Dubchak.
The responsible for coordination of the process of transferring cars to the Irpin Military Hospital, as well as logistics were: Fr. Lubomyr Yavorsky, Fr. Volodymyr Malchyn, in conjunction with the UGCC Commission on Pastoral Health Care in the person of Sr. Sevastiana Karvatska, Myroslava Polets and others.
