Historians and Reps of UOC-MP Discuss Possibility of Apostle Andrew's Visit to Kyiv

In the Church Archeological Museum of the Kyiv Spiritual Academy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church- Moscow Patriarchate, a round table “Christianity in the territory of Ukraine before Volodymyr’s baptism: problems and prospects of the scholarly discourse” was held.

In the Church Archeological Museum of the Kyiv Spiritual Academy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, a round table “Christianity in the territory of Ukraine before  Volodymyr’s baptism: problems and prospects of the scholarly discourse” was held on the occasion of the 1150th anniversary of the Kyiv Metropolitanate.

According to the website of UOC-MP, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Institute of History of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, St. Tikhon’s Humanitarian Orthodox University, National Kyiv Cave Historic and Cultural Reserve, spiritual academies and seminaries of Ukraine and Russia.

According to the organizers, the discussions of whether Apostle Andrew visited Kyiv and about the baptism of Prince Askold were especially lively.
