11 September, 15:05

On the evening of September 10, unknown persons attacked Metropolitan Klyment (Kushch) of Crimea and Sevastopol of the OCU.

Journalist Andrii Tsapliienko wrote about this on the Telegram channel

“Friends, last night unknown persons severely beat Metropolitan Klyment of Crimea and Simferopol,” he said.

Tsapliienko noted that the Metropolitan of the OCU is also a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Bishop Klyment came to Kyiv at the invitation of the Crimean Platform.

“Around 23:00, he was walking in the direction of St. Michael's Monastery, where his cell is located.

Three people near the monastery stopped him and started beating him.

He claims that in order for the priest to stop, one of the three said: “Bless us, Bishop!”

Therefore, according to Klyment, the attack was planned.

According to Klyment, the latter is also evidenced by the fact that the attack was carried out in a place with no surveillance cameras.

Law enforcement officers should look into the situation, for it is possible that the offenders were hired in the same way the arsonists of military vehicles are,” the journalist wrote.

This morning the journalist reported that the police had opened a criminal case.

“After my nightly post about unknown scum having beaten Metropolitan Klyment of the OCU, the police responded quickly.

A criminal case has just been opened.

I am convinced that the attackers will be found,” Tsapliienko emphasized.
