International Competition for Readers of the Quran Is Held in Crimea

On October 24-25, Simferopol hosts the International Competition for readers of the Quran, organized by the all-Ukraine association Аlraid.

On October 24-25, Simferopol hosts the International Competition for Readers of the Quran, organized by the all-Ukrainian association Аlraid.

The competition is carried out under the leadership of her majesty, madam Suada as-Subah with support of the World Islamic Charitable Organization (Kuwait) and the World Organization for Studying the Holy Quran (Saudi Arabia).

Readers of the Quran taking part in the competition are from post-Soviet countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Belarus, Russia (Dagestan, Tatarstan), and Ukraine.

Sheikh Abdullah al-Mubarak As-Subah, whose name carries the competition, was a well-known patron of the arts and one of the founders of the state of Kuwait. The competition is organized by his wife Suada As-Subah.

The following levels for readers are provided: the whole Quran (30 ajiza), half of the Quran (15 ajiza), a quarter of the Quran starting with sura "Yasin", and the last 3 ajiza.
