On May 24, an international Conference “St. Clement of Rome in the Context of the Missions of Saints Cyril and Methodius” was held on the occasion of the 1150th anniversary of the discovery by Cyril and Methodius of the relics of St. Clement of Rome in the Crimea.
On an initiative of the Ukrainian Embassy to the Vatican and with the assistance of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity and the Pontifical Council on Culture, on May 24, at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome, an international Conference “St. Clement of Rome in the Context of the Missions of Saints Cyril and Methodius” was held on occasion of the 1150th anniversary of the discovery by Cyril and Methodius of the relics of St. Clement of Rome (approximately in 861) in the Crimea.
From the Ukrainian side, the conference was attended by Tetiana Izhevska, the ambassador of Ukraine to the Vatican, and Oleksandr Drabynko, the vicar of the Kyivan Metropolitanate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, reported radiovaticana.org.
