Kyiv Fails to Select Plan to Restore Tithe Church

According to the chief architect of Kyiv and head of the Competition Committee, Serhii Tselovalnyk, 13 of the 15 members of the jury attended the session and voted. However, no result was announced.

The Kyiv City Administration failed to select the best project to restore the Tithe Church.

According to the chief architect of Kyiv and head of the Competition Committee, Serhii Tselovalnyk, 13 of the 15 members of the jury attended the session and voted. However, no result was announced, Unian reported.

Tselovalnyk noted that within a few days, another session of the committee is to be held with open voting to prevent lobbying of any interests.

Nine projects were considered at the session of the Competition Committee.

The project should include plans to preserve authentic remnants of the Church of the Mother of God (Tithe Church) and create an architectural ensemble, which can be used as a museum and for religious purposes.
