According to the parish of Prince Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate in Novoarkhangelsk, its church building has been seized by unknown persons who do not let the parishioners in for services.

According to the website of UOC-KP, at lunch time, when the faithful left, approximately thirty young people broke into the church and kicked out the parish priest, Fr. Illia Sovych, and several parishioners, and locked the church gate. The visitors hung a banner with a notice about the beginning of construction work.

“In the early evening, people wearing strange clothes, carrying lashes and calling themselves 'Cossacks' from Holovanivsk, and unknown persons in priestly clothes, probably, reps of the UOC  appeared. This is probably the notorious community of the Moscow Patriarchate, which used the local authorities to deprave the community of the Kyivan Patriatrchate of Novoarkhangelsk of its legal status by registering a ficticious change of jurisdiction, and has now taken the church building away from them by force,” noted the press service of the Kyivan Patriarchate.
