Law enforcers deployed to Uman to ensure public order during Rosh ha-Shanah festivities

60 police officers from twelve regions of Ukraine have come to Uman to help keep order in the city during the pilgrims’ celebration of Rosh ha-Shanah. Law enforcers will stay in Uman until the end of large-scale public events with the participation of pilgrims, according to the Police Communication Sector of Cherkasy region.

Law enforcers will stay in Uman until the end of large-scale public events with the participation of pilgrims, according to the Police Communication Sector of Cherkasy region.

Valeriy Lyuty, the Chief of the National Police Headquarters in Cherkasy region, clarified the main task of the police, including ensuring public safety and order, ensuring traffic safety in the city and on the highway of national significance Kyiv-Odesa, and investigating administrative and criminal offenses. The need to respect discipline and legality while serving was brought to the attention of law enforcers.

In general, more than 550 police officers will ensure public security and order during the visit of pilgrims to Uman.
