Message of support from the Metropolitan of Kyiv to the countries affected by the fires

Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine sent through his personal Facebook account a message of support to the suffering Greek people affected by the forest fires and to other peoples that are affected by the fires as well.

The message of Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine:

“On behalf of the Local Orthodox Church of Ukraine and myself, I express my sincere condolences and support to those affected by and displaced by forest fires in Greece and in other Mediterranean countries.

In prayer, we ask the Lord to stop this natural disaster and to take care of those who suffer from it on the Greek islands, as well as in the Mediterranean and the Balkans.

We believe that with God’s help, the people of these lands will soon be able to return to a quiet and peaceful life.

“But when they were so distressed, they cried out with a fervent prayer to the Lord, and the Lord relieved them of their terrible need.” (.Ps. 106: 19-20).”
