The Solomiansky District Court of Kyiv has imposed a precautionary measure on the deputy head of the Department of External Relations of the UOC-MP, Mykolai Danylevych. The prosecutor requested to put the priest under house arrest, but the judge only imposed a personal obligation on him to appear before the investigator.

This is reported by Graty's correspondent in the courtroom.

Five days ago, he was served a suspicion note charging him with inciting religious enmity and justifying Russian aggression. The basis for them was two posts on the priest's Telegram channel. In them, Fr Danylevych accuses the Orthodox Church of Ukraine of illegally seizing UOC-MP churches. According to the priest, Russia used this as a pretext for invasion.

Fr. Mykolai Danylevych himself denied guilt at the hearing. According to him, from the first day of the full-scale war, he publicly condemned Russian aggression, and in his church position, he "does not incite interfaith enmity but tries to extinguish it." He also added that two of his brothers are fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and one has experienced captivity.
