Metropolitan Epifaniy, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, has recently said he does not exclude the possibility of unification of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine with the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. He told this to Espresso TV channel.

Metropolitan Epifaniy has said that now many people are talking about the unification of these Churches in the future, but in order to do that it is necessary to enter into a dialogue.

“We are now working closely together. We are jointly implementing certain projects, participate in joint events,” the Metropolitan said.

He said that the question of a possible unification was raised during a meeting with the head of the UGCC.

“At the meeting with His Beatitude Svyatoslav, we talked about further deepening of our cooperation, in this cooperation we will enter into a dialogue, and the dialogue will determine if we can unite.

Theoretically, it is possible in the future, but it depends on how we will work together to support these friendly relations, how much we strive for this unity,” said Epifaniy.
