On November 11, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine met at his residence, the Metropolitan's House, with the commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Anatoliy Bargylevych.
This was reported by the OCU website.
During the meeting, the interlocutors touched upon the challenges in the context of the ongoing struggle against Russian invaders and the continuation of fruitful cooperation for the spiritual support of Ukrainian soldiers - defenders of our Homeland.
Metropolitan Epifaniy emphasized that a chaplain in the military should always remain a clergyman, a spiritual mentor, a prayerful person, and a guide rather than just a military serviceman. This, he noted, is the chaplain's primary purpose and mission.
