“I express gratitude to my brother in Christ and the Head of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, His Beatitude Archbishop of Athens and all Greece Hieronymos, and fellow bishops who at the session of the Council of Bishops supported the position and was followed by canonical and historical decision of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which opens up the possibility of full cooperation between our two local Autocephalous churches in all areas.
Greece and Ukraine, our two peoples are linked by many glorious pages of history, friendship and cooperation. The establishment of full Eucharistic communion and official relations between the local churches of Greece and Ukraine is another page that will forever be inscribed in our history and our hearts!
I believe that in the near future I will have the joy to visit Athens that are dear to my heart and personally convey our feelings of love and respect to his Beatitude Archbishop Hieronymos, the brothers hierarchs and the entire Church of Greece.”
