Metropolitan Volodymyr Donates 30,000 Hryvnias to Children with Cancer

On March 6 Metropolitan Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) March 6 met with Archbishop Luka (Kovalenko) of Zaporizhia and Melitopol.

On March 6 Metropolitan Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) March 6 met with Archbishop Luka (Kovalenko) of Zaporizhia and Melitopol.

The archbishop told the metropolitan about the launch of the eparchial charity project Love Shows Mercy, which will be held for the third time. According to the official website of the UOC-MP, Metropolitan Volodymyr joined the project and donated 30,000 hryvnias.

The charity project Love Shows Mercy is organized by the Zaporizhia Eparchy. The purpose is to help young cancer patients in the hospitals of Zaporizhia. The project is supported by the leadership of the administration of the Zaporizhia region and in collaboration with the regional station of blood transfusion.

The project begins and continues during the days of Lent.
