Eight churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were damaged within the period of militants’ attacks on residential areas in Luhansk region.

Eight churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were damaged within the period of militants’ attacks on residential areas in Luhansk region.

According to the head of Luhansk Regional State Administration, their windows were broken, facadeswere split into fragments,and the roof was damaged, some of them sustained severe damage due to direct hits of artillery and rockets.

"Destroyed churches with damaged altars and icons is a visual confirmation of what ‘orthodox world” the Russians and their mercenaries in Donbas are fighting,” says Moskal.
