Military chaplain launches a charitable initiative ‘Saint Nicholas For The Military’

With the support of the Foundation of St. Nicholas military chaplains launched a charity initiative ‘Saint Nicholas For The Military’. They plan to buy sweets, tangerines and make icons depicting St. Nicholas and supplication to him. Lviv residents are invited to join the campaign to help Ukrainian soldiers experience the joy of St. Nicholas Day.

With the support of the Foundation of St. Nicholas military chaplains launched a charity initiative ‘Saint Nicholas For The Military’. They plan to buy sweets, tangerines and make icons depicting St. Nicholas and supplication to him. Lviv residents are invited to join the campaign to help Ukrainian soldiers experience the joy of St. Nicholas Day.

On the occasion of St. Nicholas Day, the chaplains plan to visit with gifts the cadets of the National Academy of the Army named after Hetman Peter Sagaidachnyy, students of the Heroes of Krut Lyceum, regular soldiers in the 184th Training Center of the National Academy of Land Forces and all military town of Yavoriv landfill, Ukraine National Guard soldiers, soldiers in Lviv military units, according to Kapelanstvo.info.

One can support the initiative “St. Nicholas For The Military” by donating money through the drawer of the Foundation of St. Nicholas at the Garrison church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul (11 Teatralna str.), the academic Church of the Blessed Martyr Oleksiy Zarytsky (3a Lukasha str.) and student church of St. Prince Volodymyr the Great (8a Pryrodna str.).

St Nicholas Foundation is a division to the religious mission of the Center of Military Chaplaincy Curia of the UGCC Archdiocese of Lviv.
