Military Pilgrimage to Lourdes Unites Chaplains of Different Churches

On 18 May, in the garrison Church of St. Peter and Paul in Lviv, the 55th International Pilgrimage to Lourdes began with a celebratory liturgy led by the head of the Department of the Patriarchal Curia for Pastoral Care in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Bishop Mykhail Koltun, jointly with the Roman Catholic Bishop Stanislav Szyrokoradiuk.

Priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate and Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate also set off for the pilgrimage.

The prayer was attended by the official delegation of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, representatives of the interior troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, State Penitentiary Service, State Border Service, cadets and the leadership of the Department of the Patriarchal Curia for Pastoral Care in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
