The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will finance reconstruction of the Cathedral of St. Volodymyr In Sevastopol.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will finance reconstruction of the Cathedral of St. Volodymyr In Sevastopol. This information was voiced by representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation upon the visit of the head of the ministry, Anatolii Serdiukov, to Sevastopol on February 27.  

The decision to allocate the funds was passed in January 2011. The work will include restoration of the frescos and major repair of the building.

The Russian minister was satisfied with the state of the restoration work. It is planned to complete the reconstruction by December 2012.
