Monument to Sts. Borys and Hlib Opened in Kyiv Oblast

A monument to the holy martyrs Borys and Hlib, the patrons of Vyshhorod, was officially opened.

A monument to the holy martyrs Borys and Hlib, the patrons of Vyshhorod, was officially opened by the the head of the administration, Anatolii Prysiazhniuk; his deputy, Yaroslav Moskalenko; and the mayor of Vyshhorod, Viktor Reshetniak, UNIAN reported with reference to the press service of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

The monument was consecrated by Metropolitan Pavlo (Lebed) of Vyshhorod and Chornobyl, the Superior of the Kyiv Cave Monastery, 

The metropolitan greeted the residents on occasion of the Day of Vyshhorod and the opening of the monument and wished the “glorious” town peace and well-being.

“I am certain that the monument to Sts. Borys and Hlib will become a place where the residents of Vyshhorod can remember the saints and pray that the Lord protects our state, town and each of us,” said the metropolitan.
