Mufti of RAMU met with Ambassador of Kazakhstan

On May 12, the Mufti of Ukraine, Sheikh Ahmed Tamim, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine and Moldova, Darkhani Kaletaevim, who accepted the appointment in 2020

The Mufti spoke about the activities of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine, the history and formation of the multi-ethnic Muslim community. He drew attention to the fact that the origins of the creation of the RAMU were representatives of the Kazakh people.

"We, the Muslims of the multi-ethnic Ukrainian state, and the Kazakh Diaspora, makes our integral part. We highly value the legacy of the great Muslim theologians of Kazakhstan, who worked to spread good and true knowledge. The Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine strives to convey and preserve this great heritage for present and future generations, pays special attention to the preservation and development of national cultures of peoples living in Ukraine and traditionally professing Islam," the Mufti said.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, especially in the sector of religious education, and the organization of a unified educational system based on the teachings of the ancestors.

The Grand Mufti wished the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ukraine success in his work, as well as the development and strengthening of relations between Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The parties also congratulated each other on the month of Ramadan, which is a holy month for every Muslim.
