OCU became a full-fledged member of the Conference of European Churches

On September 25, 2023, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) became a full member of the Conference of European Churches (CEC), successfully completing the accession process outlined in the CEC's statutes. This development was reported on the official website of the organization.

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine submitted its application for CEC membership on September 1, 2022, as indicated on the OCU's website.

The Conference of European Churches is an interconfessional Christian organization that unites 115 Orthodox, Protestant, and Old Catholic Churches across Europe. Founded in 1959, its mission is to promote reconciliation among the nations of post-World War II Europe. The CEC actively participates in ecumenical dialogue, human rights activities, peacekeeping efforts, and European integration processes.
