The religious network in Ukraine as of the beginning of 2012 includes 55 religious trends represented by 36,500 religious organizations.
The religious network in Ukraine as of the beginning of 2012 includes 55 religious trends represented by 36,500 religious organizations, the Institute for Religious Freedom (IRF) reported with reference to the Information Report of the Ministry of Culture for 2011.
In particular, 85 centers and 290 departments of religious associations, 35,013 religious communities (30,880 ministers), 471 monasteries (6769 monks), 360 missions, 80 brotherhoods, 201 educational institutions (1,975 students) and 12,899 Sunday schools are registered in Ukraine.
According to official statistics, the number of religious institutions increases annually by 2%.
