Ohrid Archdiocese set up a commission to reevaluate the stance on the OCU
According to "Religija," as reported by Ukrainian Orthodoxy, previously the hierarchs of this Church made a decision to recognize the Orthodox Church of Ukraine only when all other Orthodox Churches do so. However, the situation has changed now, and there are reasonable grounds to hope that soon the Skopje Church will indeed recognize the OCU.
During the latest session of the Holy Synod on February 29, the Ohrid Archdiocese formed a special commission to study the status of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine, which received autocephaly from the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Metropolitan Ilarion of Bregalnica was appointed as the head of the commission, and Bishop Joakim of Deljadrovsko-Ilinden was appointed as his deputy.
