Hasidim believe that if you meet the New Year near a zaddik grave, the whole of the next year will be full of happiness.

Orthodox Jews celebrate the beginning of the 5777th year. A record number of Hasidim - over 34 thousand - arrived in the Ukrainian town of Uman this year, Ukraine Today informs.

Major celebrations of Rosh Ha-Shanah traditionally take place at the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslav, the founder of the Breslav Hasidic movement. His burial place is one of the most respected by Hasidim worldwide. Pilgrims from 21 countries gather in Uman annually. The number of pilgrims grow year after year.
