Bishop Kosmas Thasitis was ordained in the Holy Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Hamzaoui in Cairo.

Bishop Kosmas Thasitis, Assistant Bishop of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa received the title of Bishop of Konstantiani. He will serve in the Diocese of Katanga with the blessing of Metropolitan Meletios of Katanga.

The historic Holy Temple of St. Nicholas opened its gates and welcomed the faithful of Cairo, which with the priestly guidance of Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa experienced the ordination of the new Bishop.

Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria presided over the Divine Liturgy. The service was co-officiated by the Archbishop Damianos of Sina, the Metropolitans Meletios of Katanga, Theodosios of Kinshasa, Narcissus of Pelusium, Nikodimos of Memphis, and Bishop Prodromos of Toliara and Southern Madagascar.
