Orthodox Church of Ukraine tallies seven thousand parishes

During September, four religious communities completed the official process of joining the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. This was reported on the page of the OCU on Facebook.

“Four religious communities in Sumy region, Transcarpathia, Rivne region and Vinnytsia region completed the official process of joining the Orthodox Church of Ukraine last month. Therefore, gradually but surely our Church family is growing stronger,” the statement reads.

It is noted that as of today, the OCU accounts for 7,000 parishes.

“We are grateful to our believers for their trust and affirmation of hope for the unification of all Ukrainian Orthodoxy. Our Church is open to all,” the Orthodox Church of Ukraine noted.
