The administrator of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate Metropolitan Anthony Pakanych and Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich took part in the TV program “United Ukraine” on channel 1+1.

“In these tough, very tough times I call on all to pray for a united Ukraine,” said Bishop Anthony.

“I wish for the Lord and the people near us to hear each of our prayers and feel our pain. Because we now lack understanding, we lack fraternal relations. I am for the unity of our Ukraine,” said the hierarch.

Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich said that he has lived in Ukraine for 24 years and came here in the days of the USSR.

“I am an American, I speak English, Yiddish, Hebrew, Ukrainian, and Russian. And I feel very good here in Ukraine. I have friends everywhere,” he said.

The rabbi also said that his opinion is shared by Ukrainian Jews, who also feel comfortable in Ukraine and who love this country.
