"Our nuns have already learned to recognize the types of Russian rockets by sound," - Apostolic Nuncio

It is shocking that not all churches condemn this war. It's a big problem because all religions, as well as non-religious people, should be morally united against Russian aggression.

On July 14, at 16:05, Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine, Visvaldas Kulbokas, stated this in an interview with OSV News, as reported by CREDO.

He expressed regret that they have been unable to organize humanitarian corridors for evacuating people or providing them with water and food. The reason is the actions of the Russians.

"Jesus in the Gospel says to give food, water, and clothing to those who have nothing, to visit prisoners - but due to Russia's actions, we cannot fulfill this. It's a great tragedy," emphasized the papal representative.

Archbishop Visvaldas acknowledges that Ukrainians have already become accustomed to the war.

"It may seem unbelievable, but even our nuns have learned to recognize the types of Russian rockets flying over the city," the Nuncio said.

He mentioned that life in Kyiv is relatively fine, but this cannot be said for cities like Kherson or Mykolaiv. People there continue to endure shelling, lack of water, food, and electricity. They are happy to receive bread and water.

"And what can we say about those living in the occupied territories! It's a very challenging situation," concluded the Apostolic Nuncio.
