Patriarch Filaret Meets With Ambassador of EU

Patriarch Filaret of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate on 3 October, received in his residence the Ambassador of the European Union in Ukraine, Yan Tombinski who has recently begun his diplomatic service here.

According to a report of the web site of UOC-KP, the patriarch told the Ambassador about the religious condition of the Ukrainian society, inter-denominational, inter-religious and state-Church relations in Ukraine and discussed a  number of questions  which were of interest to both sides.

The meeting was also attended by other EU officials and the administrator of the Kyivan Patriarchate, Bishop Agapit of Vyshhorod.
