On September 26, Patriarch Filaret of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate received in his residence Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Dr. Christof Weil who has recently started his diplomatic service in Ukraine.
The parties discussed a wide range of questions, in particular, they exchanged ideas regarding the status and prospects of development of the interdenominational and church-state relations in Ukraine, discussed a number of social processes in the country.
According to the website of UOC-KP, the meeting was held in a warm atmosphere of mutual understanding.
In the end of the meeting, Patriarch Filaret presented to the Ambassador a photo album “Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate” and a church calendar for 2013. He wished the diplomat God’s blessing and success in the work of developing the relations between Ukraine and Germany.
