Today, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv continued the consideration of the case of ex-Premier Yulia Tymoshenko who is accused of exceeding her authority at the time of signing of gas contracts with Russia in 2009.

According to Unian.net, the ex-premier is accompanied by her lawyers, her husband, Oleksandr Tymoshenko, and her daughter, Yevhenia Karr.

The session is also attended by a group of Ukrainian deputies.

Before the beginning of the session, the deputies passed to Yulia Tymoshenko a bouquet of flowers from the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate, Patriarch Filaret on the occasion of yesterday’s Orthodox feast of Medovyi Spas. In response, Tymoshenko said: “Thank you, everyone for being here at this difficult moment.”
