Patriarch Filaret of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine will arrive in Brussels for a working visit this week. As reported today by Mission of Ukraine to the EU in Brussels, the visit will take place on April 20-23.
It is expected that during his visit the Patriarch will meet with EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Eu Commissioner For Enlargement And European Neighbourhood Policy Johannes Hahn, European Council President Donald Tusk, EU commissioner for humanitarian aid and crisis response Christos Stylianides.
It is also expected that the patriarch will meet with European Parliament President Martin Schulz, Vice President of European Parliament Richard Charnetsky, President of the European Economic and Social Committee Henri Malosse, President of the European People's Party Joseph Daul, leaders of some political groups and committees of the European Parliament and Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow .
In addition, the Patriarch is planning to participate in the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament and of the EP delegation to the Parliamentary Committee for EU-Ukraine Association, as reported by UNIAN.
