The Patriarch of the UOC-KP together with the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Valery Chaly, met with Wess Mitchell, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs of the United States. They talked about Ukraine's support for freedom, democracy, free confession of faith, advocacy of territorial integrity, as well as the significance for the national security of the Single Local Orthodox Church.
The primate was accompanied by Metropolitan Epifany of Pereyaslav and Bila Tserkva, Archbishop Yevstraty of Chernihiv and Nizhyn, member of the High Council of the UOC - Kyiv Patriarchate, Archpriest Oleksandr Trofimliuk, and chairman of St. Andrew the First-Called Parish Council in Bloomingdale Ivan Jaresko, the site of the UOC-KP reports.
