Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill congratulated Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on re-election, reads a message posted on the website of the Moscow Patriarchate

“You have continuously paid attention to the issues of spirituality, which is evidenced in the fruitful cooperation between the government and the Belarusian Exarchate,” the head of the Russian Orthodox Church said in the message of congratulations.

Patriarch Kirill expressed the hope for further cooperation to consolidate people, implement socially important projects and initiatives, promote education and patriotic upbringing of the younger generation, and reaffirm the eternal ideals of mercy, peace, kindness and justice.
