Patriarch Kirill (Gundyayev) of Moscow congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, on his 73rd birthday.
This was reported by Christians Against War.
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church remarked that during the “more than a quarter of a century” of Putin's “highly respected” leadership, “Russia is confidently pursuing socio-economic development. The country is overcoming contemporary challenges, strengthening its sovereignty, and enhancing its scientific, technical, and military capabilities, all while striving to ensure national security and foster fair international relations.”
He concluded with wishes for “inexhaustible strength, God's generous help, and blessed success in your continued service for the benefit of the country and your fellow citizens.”
