Patriarch Kirill Shares Impressions of His Visit to Bukovyna

Patriarch Kirill thanked the head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, Mykhailo Papiev for organizing his visit to Bukovyna on 1-2 October.

Patriarch Kirill thanked the head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, Mykhailo Papiev, for organizing his visit to Bukovyna on October 1-2, the press service of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration reported.

In addition, Patriarch Kirill shared his expressions of the visit.

“The joint prayer with archpastors, priests and many lay people, the great consecration of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity of the Bancheny men’s Monastery of the Holy Ascension made a great impression on me and brought me great spiritual joy. 

“I was also deeply moved by visiting the home of disabled persons run by the monastery and the children’s asylum where social ministry of the church is conducted in the appropriate way.

“I will keep the memory of the visit to Bukovyna in my heart. I wish you and all residents of Chernivtsi Oblast peace and social agreement, God’s help and success in all good deeds and undertakings,” said the hierarch, Unian-Religions reported.
