On May 31, Patriarch Sviatoslav Shevchuk of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church arrived at the Edmonton Eparchy as part of his first pastoral visit to Canada.

On May 31, Patriarch Sviatoslav Shevchuk of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church arrived at the Edmonton Eparchy as part of his first pastoral visit to Canada.

Patriarch Sviatoslav was met at the airport in Calgary by Eparch David Motiuk of Edmonton with representatives of the clergy, monastics and lay people of the eparchy, reported the Information Department of UGCC.

On June 2, the head of the UGCC is to participate in the celebratory event on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Parish of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God in Calgary.
