Patriarch Theophilus III also gave the example of the possibility to build a dialogue even in seemingly desperate situations.

Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine wished Ukrainians to never lose hope and believe that all the existing problems can be solved through dialogue. He said this when accepting as a gift from the Ukrainian catholic pilgrims an icon depicting the 100 icons of the Virgin, which was donated with a request to pray for Ukraine, the Information Center of the UOC reports.

Patriarch Theophilus III also gave the example of the possibility to build a dialogue even in seemingly desperate situations.

“I saw how many people came to Jerusalem. Prayer is one of the steps to peace. As well as dialogue and understanding. We monitor the developments in Ukraine and firmly believe that sooner or later the problem will be solved. We always encourage everyone to reconciliation. Reconciliation is the first step after which a dialogue can begin. And through dialogue everything is possible,” said the Patriarch of the Holy City.

“We showed the world that here, in Jerusalem, we had a serious issue of restoration of the Holy Sepulcher Church. No one believed it would be ever possible. But with God's help and because we did not lose hope, the impossible became possible,” said the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
