Pope Benedict XVI Greets Ukrainian Military Delegation

At the end of the general audience on May 26 Pope Benedict XVI greeted the delegation of the Ukrainian military that is taking part in an international military pilgrimage to Lourdes.

 

VATICAN – At the end of the general audience on May 26, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI greeted the delegation of the Ukrainian military led by Bishop Mykhail Koltun of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church that is taking part in an international military pilgrimage to Lourdes. “I sincerely greet the Ukrainian military, the participants of the international military pilgrimage to Lourdes, and pray for the protection of Holy Mother of God over them and their families,” said the pope, reports Radio Vaticana

As RISU reported earlier, the pilgrimage started on May 16 from Krekhiv, which known for its wonderworking icons, and is to end on May 31. Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and military institutions are taking part.
