Pope Leo XIV addressed pilgrims in St. Peter's Square, urging them to pray the rosary daily in October for peace.

This was reported by the UGCC Department for Information.

At the end of the general audience on September 24, 2025, His Holiness reminded everyone that October is traditionally a month dedicated to praying the rosary in Catholicism. “I invite everyone, each day of the coming month, to pray the Rosary for peace — personally, in the family, and in community,” said the Pope.

He also invited Vatican employees to join him in praying the rosary daily at 7:00 p.m. in St. Peter's Basilica. Additionally, the pontiff announced a communal prayer scheduled for Saturday, October 11, at 6 p.m. in St. Peter's Square. This prayer will be part of the vigil for the Jubilee of Marian Spirituality and will commemorate the anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council.
