It was announced by Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev), UKRINFORM reported with reference to TASS.

 

“The text of the statement was coordinated by the sides late yesterday, the last changes were made. We need to expect that the document will be submitted as agreed at the meeting with the Pope,” the Metropolitan said.

 

“However, he added, it is possible that the statement will be modified.”

 

He has not commented on the content of the statement yet.

 

Patriarch Kirill has taken for Latin America, where he will meet with the Pope. The visit will continue from 11 to 22 February.

Patriarch Kirill is set to meet with Pope Francis on February 12 at José Martí International Airport in Havana, Cuba.
