07 November, 10:50

Concluding his meeting with pilgrims on Wednesday, Pope Francis called for a prayer for peace.

This was reported by Vatican News.

“Let us pray for peace. Let us not forget the martyred Ukraine, which is suffering greatly, let us not forget Gaza and Israel. Recently, 153 civilians were shot at in the street. This is very sad. Let us not forget Myanmar,” the pontiff said.

“And let us not forget about Valencia and Spain. That is why, as I have already mentioned, the Virgen de los Desamparados, the Lady of the Forsaken, who is the patroness of Valencia, presides here today,” the His Holiness added, inviting the participants of the general audience to say ‘Hail Mary...’ prayer together, after which he urged to “ask the Lord that we always live in hope.”
