Poroshenko’s visit to the Vatican would be very useful for business in Ukraine - Metropolitan Mokrzycki

According to him, the Pope received the invitation letter by President of Ukraine Poroshenko, however, usually it is a newly elected president who comes to the Pope first.

It’s a pity that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has not yet visited Pope Francis. On Archbishop of Lviv archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, President of the Conference of Roman Catholic Bishops of Ukraine, Metropolitan Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki was reported as saying this on March 12, during a meeting with journalists in Lviv.

“As Catholics and as believers we feel pity that our President has not yet visited the Pope. In this situation, the visit would be highly commendable for considering Ukraine’s matters,” said Metropolitan Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki.
