President attends Independence Day thanksgiving service

Before the beginning of festive events to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine, President Viktor Yanukovych took part in a thanksgiving service at the Kyiv Cave Monastery.

Before the beginning of festive events to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine, President Viktor Yanukovych took part in a thanksgiving service at the Kyiv Cave Monastery conducted by Metropolitan Volodymyr, reports the presidential web site.

After the service Metropolitan Volodymyr addressed the audience with a greeting speech. 

Among the present at the service were Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Presidential Administration Head Serhiy Lyovochkin, Kyiv City State Administration Chairman Oleksandr Popov.
