The President noted that today, on an important day for Ukrainians, the families of fallen servicemen and volunteers were present on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv.

"In order to decently honor their memory, I signed a decree on the establishment of the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine fallen in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and its annual marking on August 29," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
