President Petro Poroshenko took part in the divine service for the future and unity of Ukraine during a working visit to Kyiv region.

President Petro Poroshenko took part in the divine service for the future and unity of Ukraine during a working visit to Kyiv region.

"I am convinced that our long-suffering and blessed Ukraine deserved the right to have a single church. It deserved the right to return to its historical borders," Petro Poroshenko said after the divine service.

“For the Lord to give unity to our nation and to give a single church,” he added.

"Today, during the prayer, my heart was comforted when the hierarchs were together when we were with you together. We are hopeful that the Lord will hear our prayer," the Head of State said.
