This year’s Prayer for Ukraine, which traditionally took place at St. Sophia Cathedral with the participation of hierarchs from all the leading churches of Ukraine – members of the All Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations – and all state leadership, will take place in the Kyiv Cave Monastery. The Ukrainian authority will pray for a prosperous Ukraine with only one denomination – the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate.

As informs the presidential press service, the Prayer for Ukraine, in which the president will take part, will be held on Independence Day, August 24, at the Kyiv Cave Monastery.

In response to the breaking of the tradition, the UOC-KP reports that they will hold a Prayer for Ukraine at the same time at the St. Volodymyr Cathedral. They invite all who interested to join.
