Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovych greeted the Head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Volodymyr on his birthday.
“The Ukrainian Orthodox Church headed by You directs its activity to serve the Lord and our nation. And I cans see your personal merit in this regard,” reads the address.
“I always remember with a great pleasure and warmth the meetings with You, your wisdom, unsurpassed interlocutor and pastoral talent,” noted V. Yanukovych.
The president wished the metropolitan quick recovery, good health and God’s favour for many years of life.
