President Yanukovych Attends Pentecost Service in Kyiv Cave Monastery

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych attended a festive mass in the Kyiv Cave Monastery on May 23, the Orthodox Trinity Sunday

KYIV – Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych attended a festive mass in the Kyiv Cave Monastery on May 23, the Orthodox Trinity Sunday, reports the president's press service.

On religious holidays PresidentYanukovych usually attends service in the Kyiv Cave Monastery, which is the center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The president was accompanied by Chairman of the Supreme Council Volodymyr Lytvyn, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, deputies, and government officials.

Dear compatriots!

I greet you on the Sunday of Pentecost.

On this day the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples and inspired them to carry the power of Christ's truth into the world.

May the Lord give us strength, health, happiness, peace, and harmony in families, inspiration for good deeds.
